According to ISNA, elbow injury and fracture; It is a common injury among pediatric emergency department visitors. Normally, X-rays and CT scans are used as a standard method to diagnose fractures, but these methods expose children to radiation.

Considering the sensitivity of children’s growing bones to radiation, reducing their exposure to radiation is very important. In some studies, it is stated that fractures can be observed with ultrasound. Ultrasound is radiation-free, can be performed immediately, and is also readily available.

Considering the same issue, the researchers conducted a study and compared the accuracy of ultrasound with radiography for the diagnosis of elbow fractures in children.
