Another Iranian cheetah has been killed on the Miami-Sabzevar road

Just three months after the Iranian female cheetah named Majrad, along with her three unborn cubs, was killed on the Miami-Sabzewar road, another female Iranian cheetah was struck and killed by a car 10 kilometers from Abbasabad village in Miami county on Wednesday morning, July 6th. The Miami-Sabzevar road is the primary habitat for the Iranian cheetah. The Asiatic cheetah roams approximately 50 kilometers of this busy road, but only 6 kilometers of it is protected by a fence. Despite repeated installations of warning signs and boards, the lack of sufficient lighting and incomplete fencing continues to pose a serious threat to the survival of this endangered species.
