The heavy rainfall on Thursday, June 8, which occurred along the Karaj-Chalus route to Kandovan, caused serious damage to sections of this route, particularly around the ‘Asal Kook’ (Shandiz) and ‘Takavaran’ bends. This rainfall ultimately led to a flood that completely destroyed about 200 meters of the Karaj-Chalus road, and two tunnels on this route are still buried in mud.
