As reported by ISNA, a project to build 5,000 homes for rural families supported by the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee has been launched in partnership with the Basij Construction Organization. Syed Morteza Bakhtiari, head of the aid committee, said in the meeting of the executive guidelines for the explanation of the construction of housing for the beneficiaries, which was held in the presence of Sardar Mohammad Zahraei, the head of the Basij Construction Organization. In a collaborative effort between the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee, the Basij Construction Organization, and the Foundation for the Oppressed, an agreement has been reached to construct 40,000 housing units for the Committee’s beneficiaries. As per the initial plan, the first phase of this project, which involves building 5,000 units, has begun.

He stated that construction work on these units will make substantial headway by the Ten-Day Dawn. Following the Ten-Day Dawn, the second phase of this project will commence, with the construction of an additional 5,000 housing units.

Highlighting the importance of building quality homes for beneficiaries, Bukhtiari said: Not only do we prioritize the construction of sturdy and resilient buildings, but we also place a high value on the swift and timely completion of the project.

The director of the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee pointed out that the process of identifying eligible beneficiaries, establishing their files, and securing necessary construction permits for the initial stage of the project has been finalized. It is our expectation that all 40,000 units will be fully constructed and handed over to the beneficiaries within a two-year period.
